The Arms of Love
Horsham Baptists Veterans are please to be able to support through Ben Van Nes 'The Arms of Love in Zambia'.

This is Bens story so far:

I am involved with sponsoring a football academy of street children in Ndola, Northern Zambia and we can always use some financial help to feed these kids.It cost about £200,- a month to feed 150 children, most of whom are aids orphans and they get a simple plate of food after football training.

If you go on their website:
www.armsoflovezambia.com you will find youth paster Emmanuel Chali featured there with his wife Chibuta. He has become a good friend of mine and does amazing work there with these kids. I am currently putting together a proposal to find companies or football clubs to help me sponsor these wonderful people out there.
I am also in the process of organising a
Sussex to Zambia fun day at our place for Sunday the 29th of June, with the aim of raising some money to encourage my friends in Zambia with their work.  I have already brought them loads of football kit as well as school uniforms etc, also sending them lots of tools, computers etc so they can teach these youngsters a trade. I find it very exciting to be involved with them in such a way, as our money goes such a long way there.

Anyway, just thought to mention this and leave it with you and your friends for your kind consideration. Some 15 of my friends from New Life Church in Croydon are going out there in July, starting a new project with a childrens village, building the first house of many for orphans on land that was given to us. There are always opportunities for people to go out there and lent a hand, work as builders or teachers, or just to play football or do all three....

Ben
